Ron Jon Surf Shop (est. 1963)

Ron Jon Surf Shop is the largest surf shop in the world!  Just 10 minutes south of Port Canaveral in Cocoa Beach is a hub of the surf and beach lifestyle.  The Space Coast is home to several World Champion surfers including 11-time Champion Kelly Slater.  Ron Jon is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year.  It is over 50,000 square feet of shopping for the beach lifestyle.  It has an indoor glass elevator, a waterfall and Koi pond.  It is one of the best places to shop for clothes, shoes, sunglasses, surfboards, skateboards, beach bags, chairs, beach towels and generally anything beach related you could ever want.  Ron Jon also has a Surf School where you can learn to surf.  Find out more on the excursions page.

Cocoa Beach Surf Company

Cocoa Beach Surf Company (CBSC) is directly next to Ron Jon's and is incorporated with the Four Points Sheraton Hotel and the Shark Pit Bar and Grill.  CBSC also has a parking garage which is especially nice during the busy times in the area when parking is hard to come by.  There is a large saltwater aquarium inside with sharks, eels and tropical fish separating the surf shop on one side and the Shark Pit Bar and Grill on the other.  Cocoa Beach Surf Company also has a Surf School as well where you can learn to surf.  Find out more on the excursions page.

Kennedy Space Center

The Kennedy Space Center celebrates the long space heritage of Florida's Space Coast.  Exhibits include the Angry Birds Space Encounter, Rocket Garden, Early Space Exploration, IMAX movie theater, Astronaut Encounter, Exploration Space, the Astronaut Memorial and the Space Shuttle Atlantis (which is permanently on display).  There are also many areas for kids to interact, play and explore.  Included in admission are the bus tours to the Apollo / Saturn V center, U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame (additional day included with admission) and the LC-39 Observation Gantry.  Up-Close tour available for an additional cost are the KSC Up-Close Vehicle Assembly Building Tour, KSC Up-Close Launch Pad Tour, KSC Up-close Launch Control Center and the KSC Up-Close Cape Canaveral: Then and Now Tour.

Exploration Tower

The 22,000 sq ft seven story tower features an observation deck overlooking the Port and surrounding area, exhibits about the surrounding area, Florida's history, space exploration and Maritime / Naval heritage.  It also has an auditorium with a presentation on the history of the port and surrounding area, a gift shop and a cafe.

Brevard Zoo (Est. 1994)

The Brevard Zoo is around 30 minutes away from the port south on I-95 at exit 191.  It is a great zoo with numerous animals, exhibits, interactive play areas for children and educational programs.  Also for an extra fee there is a zip line adventure, train ride, kayaking, paddleboats, you can feed the giraffes, feed the lorikeets, experience Rhino encounters, wild encounter tours in expedition Africa.  Numerous animals including Rhinos, giraffes, ostrich, cheetah, deer, camel, otters, alligators, bald eagle, bobcat, monkeys, jaguar, kangaroos, anteater and many, many more.

Zip and Zoo Value Ticket

The Zip and Zoo Value two-day ticket includes admission to Brevard Zoo and Treetop Trek Aerial Adventures. The two day ticket ranges in price from $34 to $54 for adults and $22 to $50 for children – depending on the Treetop Trek course. This ticket is good for one visit to each attraction.

For a reduced rate on admission into the Zoo, you can purchase an activity package at the main entrance when you arrive.

Young Explorer’s Package

Includes Zoo admission, tickets to ride the train and tickets to feed the giraffe and lorikeets. Cost is $20.50 for adults, $19.50 for seniors, and $16.50 for children ages 2 to 12. Brevard Zoo members can purchase this package for just $6 per member (member package does not include admission).

Wild Explorer’s Package

Includes Zoo admission, kayaking in Expedition Africa and giraffe and lorikeet feedings. Children under 5 are not permitted to kayak and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. All participants must sign a waiver in order to kayak. For children under the age of 16, a signed waiver is only accepted from a parent, grandparent or legal guardian. Cost is $22.75 for adults, $21.75 for seniors and $18.75 for children ages 2 to 12.

Local museum in Cocoa, FL with skeleton bone structure of a Sabertooth tiger, Giant Sloth and a Mastadon.  Many fossils and native historical Florida artifacts.
