Getting Around Half Moon Cay

 

Walking

Half Moon Cay is a large island covering a total of 2400 acres however only 2% of the island is developed. There are several connected nature trails starting near the Fort San Salvador Welcome center and the island's natural habitat can be easily explored by walking.


Tram

A tram runs continuously between the Fort San Salvador Welcome Center and the Tropics Restaurant providing relief for those tired vacation feet.  The tram has disabled-access as well.


Bike

Guided bike tours are available to those wanting to tour the island in beach cruiser style.  The three-mile tour takes about 1 to 1 1/2 hours with some narration on island history and several stops for photo opportunities.


Disabled Access

A barrier-free pathway connects the Half Moon Cay Tender Landing, Fort San Salvador Welcome Center, Straw Market, Food & Beverage Venues and restrooms for the convenience of guests with disabilities. Complimentary beach wheelchairs are available ashore at the tender landing.
